Biography
Tidiane DIOUWARA is a trained journalist and information science specialist, of Swiss nationality with Mauritanian origin. He holds a Master's degree in linguistics, a third-cycle doctorate in information science, followed by several postgraduate courses in management psychology, sustainable development and human resources management. He holds the title of journalist registered in the Swiss professional register (RP).
He worked as a journalist for several African and Swiss media, was a press correspondent at the United Nations, and held several important positions in various organizations. He was notably Communications Director of the World Medical Center, Sustainable Development Project Manager at the City of Lausanne.
Involved in the associative world for thirty years, he is a member of the Swiss section of RSF (Reporters Without Borders), the International Union of the Francophone Press (UPF) and LICRA Vaud (International League against Racism and Anti-Semitism).
Currently an international consultant on issues of integration of the African diaspora, international migration and multisectoral development, he is the Executive Director of CIPINA international, an African organization in Switzerland with ECOSOC status and supported by the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF). He is also the Founding Director of the LAFF Festival, one of the largest cultural events in Switzerland. Diplomatic advisor, he is also Ambassador of Peace for Benin.
A polyglot, in addition to French, he speaks English, Spanish, Arabic and several African languages.
